Yes, that is what people say, but there are still countries in the world without an army and they are also doing well. Most of those countries have Royal guards or the Police which also help in securing the country both internal and external.

The United State of America Has the strongest military in the world presently. They are always regarded as the world power for many years now. US Military is the strongest military in the world and they are one of the Military that pays their men handsomely. Russia is another country in the world that has a very strong military. The Russian Armed Forces are one of the world’s largest military forces, with around a million active-duty personnel, which is the world’s fifth-largest, and at least 2 million reserve personnel. It is Compulsory for all male citizens aged 18–27 to be sent for a year of service in the Russian Armed Forces.
