Difference Between Tradesmen And Non Tradesmen In The Nigerian Air Force

Main difference between The Nigerian Air Force tradesmen and non Tradesmen is that the Tradesmen recruitment is for those who have SSCE certificate, OND or NCE and also have hand work with certificate of proof while the Nigerian Air Force non Tradesmen is for those without any trade test or certificate only the SSCE certificate.

One good thing about joining the Nigerian Air Force through the Tradesmen recruitment is that the are promoted instantly during their graduation from recruitment. This simply means that those who joined the Nigerian Air Force through the Tradesmen will not have the rank of Aircraft Man. They will be instantly given the rank of Lance Corporal, Corporal or even sergeant depending on the trade test and certificate.

Unlike the the Nigerian Army that doesn’t give rank to the Tradesmen, the Nigerian Air Force is entirely different.

Another difference between both is that the Nigerian Air Force Always post those that are Tradesmen to the place that they can continue with their carrier. Eg. Those who joined with driving certificate are posted to where they can be able to handle vehicles. While those who joined using only SSCE certificate are sometimes posted to regiment which is the fighting Zone in the Nigerian Air Force.

Those who joined the Nigerian Air Force with trade test are always older than those who joined the Nigerian Air Force without trade test. This is specified when applying for the recruitment.

Please note that both the tradesmen and the Non Tradesmen are also classified as non commissioned Officers. So if you are joining the Nigerian Air Force through any of the process mentioned above, you still fall under the Non Commissioned Officers.
